Kawai DG30 Digital Grand Piano
Integrating their authentic digital piano keyboard and sound technology in a grand-like cabinet housing, Kawai creates the bold Kawai DG30 Digital Grand Piano. A fresh, modern addition of Kawai’s digital piano line, this instrument occupies less space than the smallest of baby grands. Despite its compact size, the DG30 emulates the touch and auditory characteristics of grand piano. Perfect for players of all levels who want the flexibility, versatility, and convenience of a digital piano, the DG30 accommodates without compromising the touch, dynamics, and diverse tonality of an acoustic grand.
Sound
The DG30 faithfully reproduces the unique attributes of the famous Shigeru Kawai SK-EX, Shigeru Kawai K-5, and Kawai EX grand pianos through Kawai’s proprietary Harmonic Imaging sound technology. In partnership with Onkyo, surveyors of audio technology, Kawai added a new motherboard and advanced four-speaker sound system to the DG30. These additions give the DG30 high-grade amplification and low distortion, ensuring the highest fidelity of sounds. The Grand Pedal system supports three pedal functions: Damper, Soft, Sostenuto. The topboard has two adjustable positions; the taller post allows sound to resonate with bright clarity, while the shorter provides a darker, mellow quality.
Touch
The Responsive Hammer III keyboard action gives the DG30 a realistic acoustic playing experience. Through structural reinforcements, the Responsive Hammer III minimizes noise and key wobble. The durable reinforced action ensures stability when played with force, while the Ivory touch key surfaces aids in finger control with its matte finish. Triple sensor detection registers repeated notes with precision, excellent for playing rapid, soft trills. The Let-Off Simulation aids experienced players, signalling a ‘notch’ sensation for pianist playing soft, delicate passages. The counter-weighted 88-keys and spring-less design simulates the smooth touch of an acoustic piano.
Features
The DG30 s impressive array of functions lends itself to be versatile and engaging piano for a wide array of musicians. Bluetooth MIDI and Audio capabilities allow wireless connectivity, and smart device related functions engage and enhance the experience of the DG30.
The Virtual Technician gives players the freedom to customize the sounds and performance of their DG30. Personalized refinements can be made easily in real-time, with 19 parameters that are digitally accessible through Kawai’s Virtual Technician app. Players can access remote features through the Sound Museum app on their smart devices.
The SHS headphone system provides stunning realism, perfect for players who wish to play quietly or privately. Programmed metronome, lesson books, and song recorder make this piano an excellent choice for students of every level.
